4D Polytopes is an interactive app that offers real-time visualization of four-dimensional convex regular polytopes and three-dimensional Platonic solids. With its intuitive touch gestures and effect options, it provides a unique opportunity to explore and understand four-dimensional space.

The app allows you to manipulate the displayed polytopes using simple one-finger gestures. By flicking the polytope, you can rotate it in three-dimensional space, and tapping stops the rotation.

For a more immersive experience, two-finger gestures enable rotation between the hidden fourth spatial axis and the other axes, exclusive to the 4D polytopes.

Switching between polytopes of the same dimensions is made easy with three-finger swipe gestures, while swiping left and right lets you switch between 4D and 3D.

The app also offers various effect options through buttons on the screen. The "Color/White" button allows you to toggle between colorful and white light to illuminate the polytopes. With the "Sync/Unsync" setting, you can choose whether the light sources revolve in synchronization with the rotation of polytopes. The "Mark/Unmark" setting enables you to mark one of the cells or faces of each polytope in your selected color. Furthermore, there is a "Wikipedia" button that provides links to Wikipedia articles describing the polytopes, with an optional "English" button for non-English articles.

Additional features include the ability to capture still images or record movies of the screen using the ".png", ".mp4", and ".mov" buttons. The "Angle" button allows you to vary the angle between the color light sources, while the "Hue" button changes the marking color on each tap.

To access more information about the polytopes, tapping the "Index" button opens an index page, where you can further enhance your viewing experience by enabling stereopsis using the "Flat, Cross, Parallel" switch. This feature offers cross-eyed or parallel viewing modes, merging two images for a more immersive visual experience.
